The children were asked, ‘What does Love Mean?’

// My favorite quotes were made bold//

“When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t

bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my

grandfather does it for her all the time, even when

his hands got arthritis too. That’s love.”

Rebecca – age 8

_____

“When someone loves you, the way they say your name

is different. You just know that your name is safe in

their mouth.”

Billy – age 4

_____

“Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts

on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each

other.”

Karl – age 5

_____

“Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody

most of your French fries without making them give

you any of theirs.”

Chrissy – age 6

_____

“Love is what makes you smile when you’re tired.”

Terri – age 4

_____

“Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and

she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make

sure the taste is OK.”

Danny – age 7

_____

“Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you

get tired of kissing, you still want to be together

and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that.

They look gross when they kiss”

Emily – age 8

_____

“Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if

you stop opening presents and listen.”

Bobby – age 7

_____

“If you want to learn to love better, you should

start with a friend who you hate,”

Nikka – age 6

_____

“Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt,

then he wears it everyday.”

Noelle – age 7

_____

“Love is like a little old woman and a little old

man who are still friends even after they know each

other so well.”

Tommy – age 6

_____

“During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was

scared. I looked at all the people watching me and

saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one

doing that. I wasn’t scared anymore.”

Cindy – age 8

_____

“My mommy loves me more than anybody You don’t see

anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.”

Clare – age 6

_____

“Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of

chicken.”

Elaine-age 5

_____

“Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and

still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.”

Chris – age 7

_____

“Love is when your puppy licks your face even after

you left him alone all day.”

Mary Ann – age 4

_____

“I know my older sister loves me because she gives

me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new

ones.”

Lauren – age 4

_____

“When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and

down and little stars come out of you.”

Karen – age 7

(THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE LOL)

_____

“Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she

doesn’t think it’s gross.”

Mark – age 6

_____

“You really shouldn’t say ‘I love you’ unless you

mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a

lot. People forget.”

Jessica – age 8

We like to think children don't really know a lot of about stuff when they are young but you'd be surprised. Children listen, feel, and understand a lot more than we give them credit for. A lot of adults today could use some advice from these kids.

Feeling a Little Romantic 62 Days after Valentines

I admit i'm a hypocrite... I hated on High school musical for so long...
I just happened to see the third movie yesterday and surprisingly loved it XD
[[ runs from the haters ]]
There was one song in particular that just took my heart, and i haven't been able to stop listening to it since... you know.. that one song you have on repeat for hours and hours till you realize how insane it is yet you still listen to it one more time before FINALLY moving on =p

Song:: Can I Have This Dance

After watching it i was feeling awfully romantic, you know.. the awww's and heart filled eyes haha
The dance in the rain had me wishing to have one of my own.. too bad i cant waltz ^ ^'
Oh and the wish for a boyfriend who can sing!! Yes ladies.. you know where im coming from.

My luck with relationships has been less then stellar... I want my Disney movie love story...
I want to be the beautiful princess waiting for her prince to come riding in to save the day
To have love conquer all and friends who are truly loyal
To have a fairy Godmother who will grant all my wishes
To be able to sing all my problems away and have my happily ever afters..

//Reality Check//
You learn fast how things don't work that way in the real world. You live and work with what God has given you in the here and now, whether you like it or not. You'll live, laugh, cry, smile and have your heart broken 10x or more...
And through it all you'll fall in love over and over again.
Its an endless cycle of joys and sorrows.
But its our own personal Fairy tale.
God just decided to give us the tools to create our own happily ever afters.
Will you stop after one story? Afraid to continue on cause your not a "good writer"
Or will you continue after each chapter blotting in both the Ups and Downs?

In any case, i want a boyfriend like Troy Bolton ::chuckles::
So Gentlemen.. if you have the qualities.. WOO ME...
