Day 2: Something You Feel Strongly About

 Optimism

No matter the situation, I've always liked to believe that a positive attitude makes a world of difference. In fact, its a pet peeve of mine when people use the phrase "Whats the point of trying" or "Nothing I do makes a difference". That pessimism always annoys me. You make it what it is. If you go into something with a nasty, pessimistic attitude then sure - that's usually exactly whats going to happen. Some people like to keep their guard up and trust no one because they feel like the worlds out to get them - so they push people away. Well hey, you're always going to be alone that way. Pessimism only works through you manipulating yourself into making the worse thing come about by constantly having that bad mind frame.

Not everything in life is going to work out. Lets face it - more than half the time we are going to get hurt or fail at some things. But does that mean we should go about hating the opposite sex, failing all our classes, pushing people away and crying about everything? That's retarded. Pick yourself back up and keep going. No ones ever gotten far in life by being a pessimist. Its about taking chances. Believing in yourself. Never giving up. And knowing that, even when you have been pushed down, that you'll be ok. Honestly, half the time pessimistic people are the only ones bringing themselves down.

Optimism is about taking every thing and seeing something good or beneficial about it. Its about keeping your head up and smiling - because no, life does not end at every step back. It keeps going. So you keep going. The more positively you can view experiences the more happier you'll be. So even in the face of the most troublesome trials you'll be alright.
