Started off my Friday morning at 6am, let me repeat that real quick, I started off my day at 6am. The huswife needed to go to court in order to try and get out of paying for a speeding ticket (tsk tsk) so as the amazing best friend that I am, I went with her. Her mom was awesome enough to make me coffee and pack breakfast. I swear waking up early is soo overrated. Its just dark and cold... and my eyes burn >_<
So we reach there an HOUR early and look for parking. We had no idea how long the trial would take so to be safe we decided to pay for 3 hours of parking (better safe than sorry I guess). Then we walked down to the court house only to find out that it didnt open till 8 am. It was 7:50 am, so the security guard told us to wait outside for 10 mins. We wait. At 7:59am the huswife realizes that she left her citation form in the car (awesome) so we walk to the car. As we head back, I read a sign on the door that says "NO FOOD, DRINK, CAMERA" etc. and that we had to leave those items in the car.... all of which was in my purse at that moment (dammit) so we walk back AGAIN. Finally we make it in the building and the security guard says "I was wondering what you guys were doing... I kept tryna call you guys to come back but you guys kept leaving..."
The he asks which one of us was speeding...
"So which one of you was speeding huh?"
::silence... I glance at my friend but shes quiet::
Me: Welllll nooottt mee!! ha! ha!.....
::silence... a few mumbles and we move on::
awesome...
We walk down the hall
Friend: Where are the stairs!?
Me: (points to the door next to us which says STAIRS)
Friend: The stairwell smells like India...
We walk up to court room door at 8:15am.. her appointment is at 8:45am
Me: I guess we wait now
Friend: (tries to open door but its locked) Yeah I guess so...
Me: heres a list of ppl signed up for 8:45am... your names not on here
Friend: Weird (pulls out form) okay this is the court house in Annapolis check! room 134B check! 8:45am check! april 14th check!
Me: woah wait, april 14th?.... its not the 14th...
Friend: what...
Me: (pulls out phone) ... yeah... its april 15th today...
Friend: O M G.....
Me: yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh your court date was yesterday
AWESOME
10 mins later...
Friend: Okay thank you, where is the Cashier?
Lady at desk points to the left where theres a sign 10 feet aways that says CASHIER
5 mins later...
Me: Those security guards are gonna laugh when we leave like 10 mins later..
Friend: can we wait an hour?.................................
Walking to the parking lot
Me: so should we tell someone whose looking for parking that we have 3 hours free for them?
Friend: Nah its ok... let someone feel lucky with a surprise
Driving home
Friend: its like 8:30am and I feel like we've already done so much
Me: I know right, its sooo earllyy, im never awake this early!
Sitting at my house
Me: My mom says we need to be "constructive"... I think she meant productive...
Lesson learned? Dont wake up early because its pointless
But the rest of the day made up for it, I was able to get a lot done (no homework though >_> which I will pay for tomorrow). The huswife, cece and choti all came over =) Huswife cooked some amazing pasta (as usual) and cece brought me an awesome gift (blogging about tht next) and choti came so I could dye her hair for her. All in all a good day. Then again, any day is a good day when you can spend it with the most amazing best friends a girl could ask for. Love them <3
